Be a Super Dad: Reflective Advice for Fatherhood
I wrote this for the dad who loves his kids, knows he’s not perfect, and still wants to be the best version of dad he can be. Not by chasing “perfect parenting”… but by doing something braver: serious self-examination. This book is for dads who are prepared to ask themselves hard questions, think deeply about the father they want to be, and look inward, so their kids get the best of them.
• Step out of autopilot and stop repeating patterns by default
• Get outside your head and look in the mirror—without shame
• Clarify your values and choose a path you can follow again and again

A reflective fatherhood book for dads who won’t live on autopilot
Too often, the road into fatherhood becomes automatic. We default to what we were taught. Some of it will be good. Some of it we’ll want to discard. But here’s the uncomfortable truth: even when we know what we don’t want to repeat, we’re not always 100% sure what we should do instead. This book gives you space to stop, step back, and question the path you’re on, calmly, honestly, and without beating yourself up.
Cormorant Garamond is a classic font with a modern twist. It's easy to read on screens of every shape and size, and perfect for long blocks of text.
This book gives you space to stop, step back, and question the path you’re on, calmly, honestly, and without beating yourself up.
Why I wrote this book
I didn’t write this to hand out a list of rules. I wrote it because fatherhood is too important to do unconsciously.
If you’ve ever thought:
-
I’m not sure I had the best role model.
-
I want a clearer sense of who I’m trying to be.
-
I feel a bit lost… but I care enough to change that.
…then you’re exactly who I wrote this for.
This book will challenge you, gently but seriously, to become the dad your kids deserve.
What reflection gives you as a dad
Reflection is how you stop living on repeat. It’s how you spot what you’re carrying, what you’re copying, what you’re reacting to, then decide what stays and what goes.
This book gives you a chance to:
• slow down and check whether your “default” is actually your best
• get clear on the values you want your kids to grow up around
• feel confident in your own skin as a dad, because you know what you stand for
• choose a path that fits your vision, not someone else’s advice
There are plenty of well-intentioned voices out there. But sometimes the advice grates against who you want to be.
This book helps make the path clearer, so you can parent with less doubt and more direction.
If you feel doubt, you’re not alone
Parenting with doubt can be heavy. And the hardest part is that you can still love your kids completely and still feel unsure about whether you’re doing this the best way.
If you have any doubt about the dad you want to be—if you wish you’d had a better role model, if you know you’re ready to challenge yourself, this book is for you.
Find your path
Imagine it’s 30 years from now. What do you want your children to say about you?
What do you want them to remember you for?
Where is your current path taking you?
How much time have you actually spent deciding who you want to be and how you want to show up with your kids?
This book is a chance to find your path. To become clear in your values. To decide what behaviours you’re comfortable repeating again and again, because that repetition is what becomes their childhood.
“Perfect” doesn’t exist, and that’s good news
You’ve heard it before: perfect isn’t attainable. Perfect doesn’t exist. How can you be a perfect parent if perfect people don’t exist?
Here’s the part most dads find surprisingly comforting: you don’t need to hit the bullseye 100% of the time. If you’re hitting the bullseye 30% of the time, that still matters. It means you’ve got leeway.
But the real question is: Do you know how to extract the best out of yourself to meet those targets? This book helps you do that—through reflection that makes you stronger, clearer, and more confident as a dad.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this book practical or more reflective?
It’s fundamentally reflective. It’s designed to help you examine your defaults, your values, and your direction—so your actions come from clarity rather than autopilot.
What if I didn’t have a great role model?
You’re not alone. This book helps you separate what you want to keep from what you want to change, and make those choices consciously.
Is it only for dads who are struggling?
No. It’s for any dad who’s willing to ask hard questions and wants a clearer path—even if things are “fine” on the surface.
Will this make me feel guilty?
No. The aim is reflection without shame—clarity, not self-punishment.
